Procedure

The process of placing dental implants is a complicated but safe procedure that allows you to replace lost teeth with new, permanent teeth.

Here's a short guide

  1. Consultation: First, you meet with an implantologist who assesses your dental situation. The doctor orders tests and talks to you about treatment options.

  2. Preparation: In the second stage, the dental surgeon places the implant in the jawbone under local anesthesia. It is a metal insert that replaces the tooth root. Once the implant is placed, it is left for several months to allow the bone to fuse with the implant in a process called osseointegration.

  3. Installation of the prosthetic element: After the implant fuses with the bone, a specialist prosthetist mounts a tooth crown, bridge or denture on it. This is the part that will be visible and is intended to function like a real tooth.

  4. Post-procedure care: After implant placement, it is important to follow your doctor's recommendations, maintain good oral hygiene, and attend regular check-ups to ensure the long-term durability of the implant.

Remember that each case is different, so your doctor will always adapt the treatment plan to your individual needs.
